During Week 6, the team submitted the Statement of Purpose to the University of Strathclyde for marking. The team expect results from the report to be returned within 3 weeks. The modelling team made great progress and managed to make an unparametrised initial model of the final geometry. This model will be given to the meshing team in due course to mesh. However, additional challenges include setting up the python code to allow for efficient extraction of stl. files, ensure the model is fully parametrised and include boundary dimensions. These challenges will be addressed in the coming weeks.

The meshing team also managed to mesh a model that resembles our final concept. This model was generated through Solid works and helped gain some needed practice at meshing the full geometry. The next steps will be to mesh the geometry from PythonOCC and refine the overall mesh.

The solving team managed to make the 2-block chtMultiRegion simulation cyclic. This is a huge step in the process and now the team can work on a 3-block simulation that has a fluid in between two solid blocks.
