Week 8 saw the team complete the final geometry for the simulations. The 3-pin model was made with the fluid also modelled. All required stl. files were extracted, and the full model was parametrised. This model is now ready to go into the meshing stage of the project.

The meshing team continued to develop their skills using both blockMesh and snappyHexMesh to apply all relevant features to the final model. Over the next week, the meshing team will begin to mesh the final model ready to be solved using OpenFOAM.

The solving team managed to gain cyclic conditions within the 3-block simulation with a pin at the centre of the fluid, connecting the two solid parts together. Progress on the heat sink is slow however the team aim to have this final part complete in 1-2 weeks.
